Design a detailed lesson plan using one of the models and instructional strategies discussed in class on a topic commonly taught in grades 6-2. Be sure to include:
the grade level
the background of the students
the content objectives
the mathematics content and mathematical practice standards addressed in the lesson; necessary prerequisite skills
the aim of the lesson
how students will be grouped
how students will be assessed
anticipated questions that will be asked during the lesson
Lesson structure/activities
All materials used in the lesson must be included in the lesson plan. Refer to the articles referenced in class for strategies and models. Here is a basic lesson plan sample.
