Utilizing culturally relevant methods is important to all educators because it incorporates a knowledgeable understanding of educational and culturally relevant as it applies to the way we teach children. Providing an anti-bias curriculum is important to educators because it ensures that all students are receiving an equitable education that is influenced by the understanding that individual preconceived ideologies pertaining to students has no place in the classroom. Each child comes from their own situation and needs to be approached as an individual. It is important that children are seen as individuals who come from a range of backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles, and economic standing. As educators, we must always respect this diversity and utilize resources to help these children to the best of our ability. Including culture into the classroom is important because it teaches our children acceptance and tolerance, as well as, provides children an opportunity to feel included in their education. Encompassing culture in education encourages others to understand the diversity they will, and are, exposed to throughout their education.
