would like the essay to have a theme of uncertainty to certainty in this career path
-graduated college in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology
-was uncertain of my career path upon graduation
experience working in healthcare as a medical assistant in a dermatology office for 2.5 years during my time in college
after graduation i got a job in medical sales to explore the business side of healthcare. worked in that for 8 months
decided my skills align better with patient care rather than sales
-went from uncertainty in the PA career path to certainty through my education, hands on patient care work experience as well as the business side healthcare work experience.
was able to see how positively compassionate care can impact patients
i struggled with chronic acne, stomach problems, and mystery rashes during my senior year of college. i found an amazing PA who helped diagnose my issues and treatthem while listening to all of my concerns.
i want to be that kind of provider and work in a career where i feel fulfilled and a career where i can use my skills to help others
