The Purpose This module will provide an understanding of the core competencies relating to management and leadership skills in organisations. The module will examine management and leadership models and evaluate the effectiveness of those in the 21st Century, including the difference between management and leadership. There will also be a self-reflective report considering the development of the students own leadership skills throughout the module. This will include updating the e-portfolio for the students. The Context As a business school graduate, you will be expected to demonstrate superior business acumen and as part of that acumen the ability to lead others as well as yourself are expected by graduate recruiters. This assignment requires you to identify a leadership development activity that you can reflect upon and demonstrate your development. The Task 1. You are to analyse your existing leadership profile using a range of leadership assessments such as Belbin, Myers-Briggs, DISC, or other reputable self-assessment tools.
