The final method of evaluation for the course requires the student to propose a criminal justice reform that
is more than business as usual.
o Select a contemporary issue challenging the criminal justice system (Here, think a bit about Chapter 16);
o Synthesize what you have learned about this issue;
o Present a balanced analysis of efforts to address the issue;
o Propose an alternative way of addressing the issue.
Criminal Justice Reform Proposal (25 points of overall grade):
* Each student is required to submit a research paper minimum 1,200 words, maximum 1,500 words, double spaced, and one-inch margins.
* Your paper must include references to a minimum of three scholarly sources and five reports or current reliable news sources.
* The format for the paper should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style, format, and citation guidelines. * A grading rubric is provided.
Your paper must be submitted by 4/14/24, at 11:59 pm (Central Time) to avoid a 2-point
late penalty per day. No papers will be accepted after 4/21/24 without prior permission of the instructor. You may submit your paper at any time prior to this date.
