This study aims to explore whether Acar et al. (2020) and Vincente-Benito and del Valle Ramirez-Duran?s (2023) excessive social media use patterns, when coupled with Shutzman and Gershys (2023) theory of the protective role of parenting, can reduce negative results associated with addictive/abusive use of social media by adolescents and young adults.
