The first selection, call Jefferson on slavery, is a paraphrasing extercise. Take this passage and put it in your own words in a short paragraph. DO NOT QUOTE. For the second passage, Jefferson on Race, write a brief paragraph with quotations that express what you take to the meaning of the passage. Remember that you need to introduce the quote and explain what you see in it.
