These could be about the currently availabletechnologies, methodsand other existing knowledgethat you can find in the literature.•Find 15-20 references about your research topic, using the techniques discussed inlectures 2 and 3.•Categorise these references into 3 groups consisting of 3-5references:one groupforeach theme you identified•Discuss about each group(theme)in a separate paragraph (this means you have 3paragraphsfor the whole literature review).•Each paragraph should ideally start with a highly cited paper, which might have beenpublished 5-15 years ago.This would be a well-establishedknowledge.•Newer references will appear towards the end of the paragraph so that they can directthe reader to the frontier, which is what has been published over the past 3 years.•Explain the evolution of each group/themethrough different references, as above.•In particular, try to find the limitations or disadvantages which led to this evolution.•Use the words such as ‘however’ to highlight this limitation.These would be currentknowledge gaps•Try to connect the three paragraphs to each other.
