Students will submit an Opinion and Analysis Assignment to demonstrate their intercultural competence as it pertains to the cultural patterns and communication styles discussed throughout the semester. Students will address three major aspects of Intercultural Competence for the assignment: (1) knowledge, (2) motivation (for self and others) to learn about diverse cultures, and (3) skills necessary for communicating efficiently and effectively when interacting with a person from a different culture. This is a typed assignment, using the MLA format. Completion of the Opinion and Analysis Assignment is required to pass the Intercultural Communication class.
