Write a brief synopsis of the book you read (what was it about?) or documentaries you watched (what were they about?).

Term project part 2 Create an Outline or Rough Draft After you have read the book or watched the documentaries, create an outline or, better yet, a rough draft of your review. At a minimum, write a brief synopsis of the book you read (what was it about?) or documentaries you watched (what were they about?). If grades are especially important to you, look ahead and read the expectations for the third part of the project and write a draft of your review. Like the first part of the project, this part is pass/fail (you either get it done and get full credit or you don’t get it done and get a zero), but the third part will be graded. If you turn in a rough draft of your review (rather than a simple synopsis), I will provide feedback that will help ensure you earn the highest grade possible. Your Part Two document must be submitted in the online drop box that you will find in the Unit 8 module and should include (1) your identifying information – name, class number, and date; (2) the complete identifying information for the book you read or documentaries you viewed; and (3) the outline or rough draft. The document should have normal margins, use size 12 fonts, and any text should be double-spaced. Late submissions may be accepted but will be penalized Term Project – Part Three: Book review or review of three documentaries Up to 100 Points – Due at Close of Unit 12 General Requirements Your review should adhere to the following requirements: • A title page that shows your name, my name (W. Norris), the name, number, and section of the class, and the date. • An essay (review) that is at least two full pages in length (double-spaced), but no more than three pages using 12 fonts and normal (1 inch) margins. • Your review should be cited using either the American Psychological Association (APA) intext citation format or the Modern Library Association format. • Your review should explain the topics being addressed, the methodology used, and the findings. • In addition, your review should analyze and evaluate the research. • At the bottom of your review or on a separate page, you should have a “works cited” list (it might consist of only a single item – the book you are reviewing) in either APA or MLA format. • You will be required to submit your document in the online Drop Box by the Unit 12 deadline to be considered on-time. On time reviews will be read and evaluated and awarded up to 100 points. Late submissions will be accepted up until the end of the 15th week but will be penalized 25 points. Guidelines for Writing Review Essays Anything you write should have a beginning (an introduction), a middle (the body), and an end (the conclusion). In your introductory paragraph, tell the reader what you are doing. Your short introduction should be engaging, it should specify the book or documentaries being reviewed, and it should give the reader an overview of what is to come. You might include a sentence or two regarding why you chose the book or why you strung the three documentaries together. In the body of your review, you need to demonstrate that you actually read the book or watched the documentaries (see note at end regarding use of artificial intelligence). Pay particular attention to the research that supports any conclusions the author (or producer) makes. Show that you’ve done your work by being specific: support your points with quotes or facts from your source.
