Assignment Procedure
1) Identify a social problem experienced by a social group. Please provide researched
data that helps situate this social problem experience by a group. Bring awareness
to your methods of selecting this group and social problem and attempt to identify
any bias that may be present and document it for the reflection part of the paper.
2) Once your social problem and group has been researched and identified please
present this problem situated within this social group and your research findings.
3) Research and identify at least 4 peer-reviewed research articles in BOTH the
context of assessment and interventions regarding this identified problem
experienced by your social group. Please summarize and present within the paper.
4) Describe your group intervention framework that includes provider stance, length,
time, frequency, group size, service providers, supervision, evaluation, crisis
protocols, addressing burnout and compassion fatigue, and referral practice.
5) Identify and present methods for outreach, selecting, and enrolling your
participants in both your assessment and intervention procedures. Remember to
keep this process anchored in the core competencies of social practice. Please
present these approaches within the paper.
6) Develop, research, and provide a method for evaluation of your assessment and
intervention process.
7) Reflect and share on this learning process, identified and communication what
you have learned, please provide these responses within at least 3 of the core
competencies of social work practice.
